Magazine Advertisement

Now we are progressing with our video, we have started to focus on the digipak and magazine advert. A magazine advert needs to be unique, creative and most importantly eye catching. We would like our video, digipak and magazine advert to all link in someway, perhaps by using similar images, effects and text.

I found this magazine advert from Kasabian to be eye catching because it's unique.  As you can see the advert shows the album cover which is based on the "King" playing card with a detailed image on the front. The king card is suitable as it relates to the name of the album, named Empire. The naked body of the female figure alludes to the whole 'rock and roll' attitude of the band.

The magazine advert also includes the relevant information about the album, such as the release date and also ratings by influential and noted rock magazines.
